I was partners with Ashli to think of a tag. A tag is something we have in common. We had a hard time thinking of things we both really liked, so we went with food. The two o's in "food" are an infinity sign. Then, we started working individually and started to draw out own foods. By the end, I colored it all and had put detail into my drawings. One problem I had was when I wanted to draw one type of food and it didn't turn out so I overlapped it with another.
The polar plunge is for a baby named Landon that was 6 moths old. He was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer in his kidneys, liver, lungs, and brain. The money went towards the treatment he needed. I learned a lot more about what the polar plunge was about. I also learned that this started by teams and groups doing it. Then, people found it very inspiring. For my presentation project, I did beautiful abandoned places. I never even thought there were places like these with so much meaning. I learned that there are people out there that find the best in the things that don't look like much. I had trouble finding who took the pictures so I could give them credit. But when I found this website that had all of the photographers names I had no trouble at all. If you have trouble seeing it, CLICK HERE.
For my second art challenge I did an animation. The first step was to find which picture to use. When I found the one I wanted to use, I found an app for editing pictures. My next step was to put that picture in piclab and start to edit. I found a filter that made the image lok for HD. Then I went on the internet and found a softball quote that I liked. By the end, I used this quote and made sure I put it to the side so you could still see my name on my jersey.
To make these cardboard flowers, you first need to cut out different sizes of cardboard squares. Once you get all the squares getting smaller and smaller as you go, you glue them together with the hot glue gun. After glueing the cardboard together, we painted the flowers purple, green, and orange. This is an installation because Mrs. Meyer will be hanging them in her classroom next to her color wheel. She will use them to teach primary and secondary colors.Printmaking was a lot easier than I thought it would be. The first step was to trace your design onto your linoleum block. Then, the second step was to carve it out. This is the carving tool you use to carve out your design. The next step is to start printing your design. You use a brayer and roll it in the printmaking ink. A brayer is like a paint roller but it's used for printmaking. Once you roll your ink out on a metal tray, and ink up your brayer, you will roll out the ink onto your linoleum block. Then, you will press your linoleum block on your paper and peel it off. I repeated this process until I got five good prints. This is my best finished print. Again, I chose a softball because it's my favorite favorite sport. I was very happy with how my final product turned out. This is my logo design. My favorite sport is softball so that is why I chose a softball a my main design. Then, my last name is Fanter so that is why i have the with my jersey number 11. After all of my sketches this one was my favorite. |
